Xbox 360 Core discontinued at Best Buy
For those hoping that the expected $50 Xbox 360 price cut would bring the Core model down to the Wii-diculously great price of $250, Joystiq has some bad news. According to a source at Best Buy who sent Joystiq these images, the Xbox 360 Core model is dead and remaining stocks are all that's left of the system. Well I guess that figures, but wouldn't Microsoft want more money. I would think keeping the Core in circulation would make more 360 sells.

"The ATI Hollywood can actually produce "insane fillrates" to use Factor 5's words. Hollywood is capable of a pixel fill-rate of almost 972 mega pixels. Having such a high fill-rate capability means that the Wii can perform advanced shaders, advanced texture filtering and advanced multi-layer texture effects better than the Gamecube could."

DX10 Fails To Attract Gamers
Summary: DX10 hardware too expensive. Vista sucks. DX10 games not much better than DX9. Developers have no incentive to make DX10 games. There you have it. Maybe devs will finally wise up and start making OpenGL cross-platform games again.

Medison Celebrity, $150 of Linux laptop for the people
This might not be that bad for some people. Especially if you can upgrade the 256 MB of RAM and I mean hell it has a CD/DVD ROM drive. There is nothing wrong with Linux and if you really wanted to buy Windows XP it should. It is worth mentioning again $150!!!!

Double Demo Tuesday
Posted at http://www.majornelson.com site is two demos. One of them is Nascar '08 and I am not the biggest racing fan,but I will give it a try. The other is All-Pro Football 2K8 and I will try it just to see how it plays. I would never get into it because I am a big NFL and Madden even though Madden the past two years have not been that great. Though from what has been said about Madden with owner mode for example makes me think it will be a better game this year.

Cellphone Ring Converter
This thing is as dumb as the invention that Steve Martin's character made in The Jerk. The arm that sat on the bridge of the nose to keep your glasses from slipping. That invention in the movie made everyone who used it cross eyed. It was great!!!

This is pretty neat! A robotic fly. The robot has a three-centimeter wing-span and is only 60 grams in weight. I am sure this can be used in some sort of spy situation. It will be domestic the RIAA will buy the fly and spy on P2P users, just kidding!

EB Games Australia Issues Total 360 Recall
EB Games Australia have issued a recall on their Xbox 360s. Not just their own personal display or demo units. Every single Xbox 360 they had in-stock.I am sure that the rest of the world is not going to follow suit. Would be way more expensive than the billion dollar hit that MS is taking for the 3 yr warranty.

Animals will feature heavily as a graphical feature (and possible gameplay feature), complete with extremely realistic behavior. Different types of fish in the water look and behave as they would. This is one of the main reasons why I will have to upgrade components in my PC.
