It's Official: Halo 3 has four player, online co-op

Speaking at a Microsoft press conference in Amsterdam earlier today, Bungie has confirmed, once and for all, that Halo 3 will feature two to four player online co-operative play over Xbox Live. It will be the Master Chief,the Arbiter and two new Elites.....

Xbox 360 Core discontinued at Best Buy

For those hoping that the expected $50 Xbox 360 price cut would bring the Core model down to the Wii-diculously great price of $250, Joystiq has some bad news. According to a source at Best Buy who sent Joystiq these images, the Xbox 360 Core model is dead and remaining stocks are all that's left of the system. Well I guess that figures, but wouldn't Microsoft want more money. I would think keeping the Core in circulation would make more 360 sells.

Viva Pinata DS Announced

Who wants Viva Pinata on the DS? Microsoft do. Announced at Comic Con yesterday, Viva Pinata DS will see the original game concept (ie not the party game) ported over to the DS, with the main changes a new top-down perspective and what I'd guess is an improved control scheme.

Toys R Us & Walmart's August 12 Sunday Ads confirm a $50 price cut on the Xbox 360. Images available within.These ads confirm the Hollywood Reporter's scoop that a $50 price cut would begin in early August. Currently, it is uncertain if the $50 price cut is only valid for the $400 Premium system.

DX10 Fails To Attract Gamers

Summary: DX10 hardware too expensive. Vista sucks. DX10 games not much better than DX9. Developers have no incentive to make DX10 games. There you have it. Maybe devs will finally wise up and start making OpenGL cross-platform games again.

Microsoft is ‘Bringing It Home’ once again with Comic-Con 2007

Can’t make it to this year’s Comic-Con? Let’s hope you have an Xbox 360, because Xbox Live and Warner Bros. have partnered to bring Comic-Con 07 to the Marketplace. That means trailers, coverage of the panels, and even a 300 theme will be available very soon. Here’s hoping we get at least one demo out of this thing.
